Dr. Zhao Luyang, the founder of Salus Biomed, has been leading the company as CEO with over a decade of expertise in biotech innovation and management. He was a senior analyst in GTJA Investment Group, responsible for the company’s investment research and strategic planning in biotechnical areas. Before shifting to investment, Dr. Zhao was the Director of the Chemistry Department at a biotech company, leading the development of chemistry.
Dr. Zhao holds a PhD in analytical chemistry from North Carolina State University and received an honorary degree along with his Bachelor degree from the University of Science and Technology of China. -
Wang Gufeng, PhD

Prof. Wang Gufeng, a co-founder of Salus BioMed, contributes over 20 years of expertise in surface chemistry and optical imaging. As a former professor at North Carolina State University's Chemistry Department, Prof. Wang pioneered innovations in super-resolution optical imaging technologies for structural observation of subcellular organelles and dynamic tracking of biomolecular trafficking during his time at NCSU. He also worked on developing ultra-fast, ultra-sensitive, high-plex assays for cancer diagnostic and prognostic markers.
Prof. Wang holds his PhD from the University of Iowa in analytical chemistry and received his postdoctoral training from Profs. Edward S Yeung and Ning Fang at Ames Lab, US DOE and Iowa State University. Over his 20 years of work in science and discovery, Prof. Wang has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers in high-profile scientific journals, including Nature, Nature Cell Biol., J.Am. Chem. Soc., Angewandte. Chemie, etc. -
Dr. Danilo Tait

Danilo is an accomplished commercial leader with more than two decades of experience in the life sciences sector. Currently based in Heidelberg, Germany, he has held senior positions at prominent biotech firms such as Advanced Analytical Technologies (acquired by Agilent), MGI, and Rebus Biosystems. Most recently, he was the Senior Business Director for EMEA at Curio Biosciences, a Silicon Valley-based spatial omics company that was acquired by Takara Bio.
He earned a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Bologna, followed by a Ph.D. from the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin, and later completed an MBA at SMC Business School in Zug, Switzerland. Danilo’s core strengths lie in strategic business development, market growth, and commercial leadership in the field of innovative biotechnology.

Dr. Zhiyuan(Jerry) Lu, the International Sales Director of Salus , has been the leader of sales team in the field of biotechnology for more than a decade. He was the sales director of BGI TECH responsible for Southern&Eastern Europe and then the Head of Asia Pacific region. Dr. Lu holds his PhD in Bioinformatics from State Key Laboratory of Bioelectronics, Southeast University.
